| Having the right gear is important |
As with any sport activity, nothing is more important than having the right
gear, and the same is true for cycling. If you do not have the right gear (or the
correct spare part), even a splendid ride can very quickly become a miserable one.
Carrying a cell phone may not always work, particularly if you are riding in
a remote area, as in the mountains, or touring through sparsely populated countryside.
Without raingear to put on when it begins to pour, or a spare tire or repair kit
when you puncture a tire miles from the nearest town, your outdoors adventure may
become memorable for the wrong reasons.
Here you will find recommendations from TrekbyBike.com for items you should carry
whenever you set out for any MTB ride, day-long road ride, or multi-day tour. Recommendations
are categorized based on the type of riding you plan to do: MTB, Road, or Touring.
We hope you find the list comprehensive and helpful when preparing for your ride. |
